At 9:28 am on October 31, the 200,000 cubic meter converter gas tank of Guangxi Iron and Steel under EPC general contract of MCC Jingcheng successfully recovered the first converter gas, the gas piston of the gas tank ran smoothly, and the operation indicators all met the excellent design standards, which marked the successful operation of the world's largest volume converter gas tank.

The project has created the world record for the largest volume of the converter gas tank, with large gas storage capacity, fast piston speed, strong throughput capacity and other outstanding advantages, suitable for steel enterprises above 240 tons of large converter gas tank, to solve the problems of insufficient capacity of the converter gas tank and limited space for multiple converter gas tanks. The successful operation of the project has formed multiple guarantees for Guangxi Steel in the comprehensive utilization of gas, energy balance, safety and environmental protection, and played an important role in further increasing the recycling and utilization of converter gas.
