On September 16, Northeastern University ushered in the 100th anniversary of the university, a majestic institution, one hundred years of glory.   Minister of Education Huai Jinpeng read the General Secretary's reply and speech at the celebration meeting. Ma Peihua, vice chairman of the 12th CPPCC National Committee, attended the meeting. Liaoning Provincial Party Secretary Hao Peng delivered a speech at the meeting, Governor Li Lecheng and four major group leaders, Shenyang four major group leaders attended the conference, the conference by Northeastern University Party secretary Guo Hai presided over.

On the occasion of the centennial celebration of Northeastern University, Li Weijian, Secretary of the Party Committee, chairman and general manager of Southern Manganese Industry Group, was invited to attend the conference as a board member of Northeastern University. During the period, Northeastern University launched the Northeastern University famous outstanding alumni list, a total of 51 people, Li Weijian ranked 18th. The Board of Trustees of Northeastern University held the fifth Board meeting and the signing ceremony of school-enterprise strategic cooperation, and Li Weijian continued to be employed as a member of the fifth Board of Trustees of Northeastern University

In order to further strengthen school-enterprise cooperation and make full use of Northeastern University's high-level teaching and research achievements in metallurgy and other fields, the Group has signed a school-enterprise strategic cooperation agreement and a centennial donation agreement with Northeastern University. Through all-round, multi-level and wide-ranging exchanges and cooperation, the two sides will strive to make continuous breakthroughs in the fields of talent joint training, deep integration of production, teaching and research, and scientific and technological innovation.
