On June 30, the construction of the first rotary bottom furnace metallurgical solid waste disposal line in Southeast Asia contracted by CCID - Vietnam's Taisu Hejing Steel rotary bottom furnace project was held a groundbreaking ceremony.

This project is the first rotary hearth furnace metallurgical solid waste disposal line exported by China, the first application of rotary hearth furnace process in the steel industry in Southeast Asia, and the first overall output of core technology, standards, equipment and project management of rotary hearth furnaces in China, demonstrating CCID's leading position in the field of metallurgical solid waste disposal technology.

The project includes a rotary bottom furnace metallurgical solid waste disposal line with an annual processing capacity of 250,000 tons and supporting public auxiliary facilities, which will adopt the resource utilization technology of rotary bottom furnace solid waste independently developed by CDIE. After the project is completed and put into operation, it can not only completely solve the disposal problems of iron and zinc containing dust mud solid waste such as blast furnace mud and converter OG mud in Formosa Plastics Hejing Steel Plant, but also solve the problems of iron and zinc containing dust mud solid waste. Moreover, it can realize the recovery of all valuable elements such as iron, zinc and carbon, creating double benefits of economic and environmental protection.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative. In the past 10 years, MCC CCID has responded to the call of the Party Central Committee and actively participated in the construction of the "Belt and Road", undertaken the benchmarking performance of a number of green steel mills such as Formosa Plastics Vietnam Ha Tinh Steel and Malaysia Kuantan Industrial Park United Steel, and contributed MCC CCID's strength to the economic development and upgrading of regions along the "Belt and Road" with advanced technology, products and services. It has promoted international cooperation on production capacity and equipment.

Standing at a new starting point, CCID will continue to shoulder the role of an industry leader, open up and develop, integrate "going out" with high-quality co-construction of the "Belt and Road" and build a new development pattern, and make new contributions to the high-quality development of the global steel industry.
