Recently, Jilin Xinda Iron and Steel Cultural Park was identified as Jilin Province industrial tourism base by the Jilin Province Culture and tourism Department. The evaluation results are based on the Standards and Evaluation of National Industrial Tourism Demonstration Bases (LB/T 067-2017) and the Management Measures of Jilin Province Industrial Tourism Bases (Trial). With the recommendation of relevant municipal (prefecture) cultural and tourism administrative departments, Jilin Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism organized experts to carry out comprehensive evaluation according to procedures. A total of 6 units, including Jilin Xinda Iron and Steel Cultural Park, meet the standard requirements of Jilin Province industrial tourism base, and are identified as Jilin Province industrial tourism base after publicity.

Jilin Xinda Iron and Steel Cultural Park is located in Dongfeng County, Liaoyuan City. It is the first national AAA grade iron and steel industrial tourist attraction in Jilin Province and the third national AAA grade industrial tourist attraction in Hebei Xinda Group. Under the strong support of the board of directors of the Group and the care of the leaders of Liaoyuan Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, relying on the production base of Jilin Xinda Iron and Steel Co., LTD., the park effectively combines the steel industry tourism resources with ecological culture, regional culture and other non-industrial tourism resources. It is planned and designed by Jilin Tourism Design and Planning Institute and built by employees independently.3
